Bermuda

If you are a Carnival cruiser you surely will recognize the daily ship news that helps to prepare and motivate you to choose fun. Yet, no news paper in the world could prepare me and my first mate Freckles for the weather we would experience in our vacation world on the Pride to a place labeled "Another World":Bermuda.
Cabin Life:
Always a blessing to hit the reset button with a Carnival cruise to experience another world, Vacation World. This Vacation World is the world in which you think nothing should go wrong. You work hard at work at the 9 to 5, paid a couple of G's on a balcony suite. Life is good!? Nope! Some how, reality seeps in and manifests Murphy's Law (Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong). Room 8237, had the space and the Ocean view, and below the Lido deck. Which was very easy to bring food back to the roo. Not to mention, the Serenity Pool. Yet, our living quarters for the week was also right beneath the ship's Service Pantry. Around 3 am that place came alive! Steel carts being hauled, and dragged across the floor. Definitely heard food utensils being dropped. Now granted, I am a heavy sleeper. Freckles on the other hand, doesn't sleep well and with those added noise actroctiy She was not a happy camper. Carnival's customer service did offered to change our rooms. With only two rooms to choose from. But, they were both like closets in comparison to Room 8237. So, me and Freckles kind of gave up. At the end of the day.We were given $155.13 taken off our account due to the noisy inconveniences.

Customer service:I do commend Carnival's Customer service efforts for the inconvenience we were experiencing with the noise during sleeping hours. But, I do believe that they should not have had this cabin in service for the cruise due to the noise challenges and the bathroom patch work. Our Cabin Stewart Maha made the difference. Always pleasant with a smile and kept the ice bucket full, and the animal towels creative. Supply an extra fluffy white comforter was a good look as well. This being me and Freckles second time to Bermuda we thought that we would get to venture out and enjoy Hamilton, the capital of Bermuda. It rained all day Thursday. Totally was an opportunity for customers service to show up as our Knight in shining armor with complimentary Rain Ponchos (They were $8.39 each). The day before, we first arrived around 3pmish. The stores within the Royal Navy Dock yard closed at 5pm. And Friday, we had to set sail at 12:30pm back to Baltimore. It was a quick and, bitter-sweet kind of vacation.

Chow:
Food! What can I say? It was always available. The breakfast parfait in the Normeadea Restaurant was some kind of good 😊. And for lunch, I enjoy the Veggie burger at times at The Carvery on deck 9 (Shout out to Lexie and Kathleen!) The buffet dinner with in the Mermaid Grill was always colored with vegetables and lasagna. Which I enjoyed. Freckles, didn't really enjoy the food that much. The breakfast Danish in the Normeadea restaurant and the burrito from Blue Iguana Cantina was all she commented on as being enjoyable. 😬 We didn't get a chance to go to the new specialty restaurant, Farhentti. You cruise and you learn...
Cruiser Beware:
- ROOM 8237: This was a cruise that was in sale. Me and Freckles are convinced Sales on cruises could be due to the fact that the cabins are bothersome in some shape, form or fashion (our cabin had 3 previous complaints prior to ours).
- Keep the weather in mind. Due to hurricane Milton. We experienced a lot of rain. We were unprepared for the weather and got upcharge for a rain poncho. BTW, there are only $2 or $3 dollars for a rain poncho at the Craft Market and the Pharmacy in the Royal Navy Dock yard.
- Temperature of the food is to be considered. Best time to go to the buffet on the the Lido deck is about 20 minutes after they open. Any time after that may cause you the risk of getting cold food.
Cruise score: 5 KNOTS out of 10 KNOTS
